Event Description

As many of you know, rogueApron is just one of the many interesting projects regarding food that I am involved in.

I would like to take a moment to introduce the growBot Garden project to you.

I am part of a Georgia Tech team that is exploring how technologies could impact organic farming.

If there was an inexpensive robot that could help small-scale growers, what would it do?

Our project is to create the conversation spaces for these imaginative talks - not to build the robots.

That's where you come in.

We are seeking farmers, gardeners, co-producers and other interested parties to participate in a growBot workshop in early May.

Participants would learn about robotics technologies, enjoy a free catered local organic lunch, and brainstorm with other growers. Think art installation meets rogueApron dinner, with a healthy dose of technology and freethinking.

We are gathering mailing addresses of farmers, gardeners, co-producers, and other interested parties in order to send a formal invitation via the mail: tinyurl.com/growBot-mailing.

We'll host a public reception at 7pm, following the event. GT policy dictates that this is a Bring Your Own Refreshments event. The space is **rad** and you'll get to check out all the neat ideas generated during the day!

We leave it up to people to classify themselves ... whatever you feel comfortable identifying as. Please do extend the invitation!

Cool, thx. I also should have asked if I need to register as a farmer, gardener or co-producer? Also, would you like me to extend this invitation to members of the Avondale Garden Club? It's a good group of spunky southern gardeners.

What are the actual hours of the brainstorming event?

Groan. I am a big advocate of services not autofilling information for you. In thus case, ning shouldn't prepopulate the date field with today's date. The event is on may 3rd, not today. Thanks for spotting the error, Margie.
