Event Description

LRBN's underground market.
Pop-up shop.
Underground Marketplace.
1 day boutique.
Jumble-sale.
Flea Market.
Goods Exchange.
etc.

Picture - an informal array of goods and services from LRBN members. Seize the chance to browse through everyone's stuff ... use the opportunity to get feedback on something new, or raise some money towards a summer vacation by selling a few wares.

Here's how it works.

1. SIGN UP TO POP-UP: http://tinyurl.com/LRBNpopup
2. Show up
3. Set up
4. Sell

---

1. Sign up
We're open to any types of goods you might want to offer for this pop-up. Your best-selling necklaces - a new line of aprons you'd like feedback on - or your mom's best chocolate chip cookie recipe. This is an extremely informal affair - no table fees, no receipts, no paperwork.
SIGN UP TO POP-UP: http://tinyurl.com/LRBNpopup

2. Show up
Arrive 30 minutes before the event to claim your space and set up your goods. We have an entire gallery at our disposal.

3. Setup
You are welcome to bring materials to display your wares, such as cake stands or jewelry trees. This is meant to be quick, informal and fun - think mini displays.

4. Sell
It's a jumble sale, so you can choose to handle sales in whatever fashion you'd like. Stand near your table all night, or put up a sign saying that you'll handle transactions at 9pm. If you have the ability to process checks or credit cards, you are welcome to do that. Please note that LRBN cannot offer any support in this matter.

This should be great! I will be offering Veggie Husband service on the cheap for all LRBN folks. We might even have some berries there to sell...unless Farmer Duane is doing something. I won't compete with a farmer.

Carrie - duh, of course! We're just experimenting with a way for a) our members to show off their goods and b) a more casual event format. I of course have fantasies about underground markets on the regular ... but we'll see how this one does first.

Soo... can I just come check it out if I dont have anything to display/sell?
Comment by Lady Rogue on June 17, 2010 at 11:54am
yes, that would be fine! and a laptop display of a portfolio thing wouldn't be bad either. :)

Hmm. My "goods" are marketing/design services and teaching brewing classes. Any way I can serve up samples of my brews as encouragement to attend my brewing classes?
