Thank you!

Hi everyone!

I want to thank you ALL for your insightful feedback and advice that you gave me during my product pitch at last Thursday’s meeting. I am so new to the world of “selling” and all the how-to’s that come along with it, and I feel like I learned so much from all of you! There is so much I haven’t thought of, such as writing out a thorough business plan (or at the very least, defining my goals), and deciding whether to go large-scale, such as selling at the Mart, or staying… Continue

Getting Blog Posts via Email

Hi gang ... some of you asked about receiving these blog posts in your inbox. I looked into a 'weekly digest' option, but I think that will need to be hand-written, which is time consuming.

Let's give this hands-off option a try.

Great artist for original handmade cards - Natalie Crowley

I needed personalized cards for Thank You notes in the night club industry. I contacted Natalie and told her what I had in mind. She created a packet of cards for me at a great price. She's really awesome to work with and very fast at producing them. Keep her in mind if you ever need personalized cards made for your business or personal needs.

The final design is below and links to her profile on LRBN.

Cheers!

How Being Downsized Can Rock!

New Blog Post & Video -> How Being Downsized Can Rock!

As American author, Julia Cameron, says, "Creativity - like human life itself - begins in darkness." You could say that that's exactly how JaLa was conceived - twice! Part two of our 'Jewelry Inspired by...' series answers the second question I get quite often - what inspired the creation of JaLa Designs?

To find out through words and video why being downsized can rock, visit:… Continue

Drop Dead Gorgeous Charity Fashion Show Photos

Hi Lady Roguers! Though I haven't been able to make it to any meetings yet, I interact with the site fairly often and change my profile up a lot.

Anyhow I've added photos from an awesome event that helped promote awareness of the prevalence of child trafficking in Atlanta, and I wanted to share them with you. For more info on the organization Meet Justice and the Drop Dead Gorgeous campaign, visit… Continue

LRBN creates a pool to fund a logo

In order to help attract new members (and potential business partners!), LRBN needs some graphic design work - a logo, and some flyer-esque stuff to publicize our meetups via coffeeshop bulletin boards. We have many talented designers in our midst, and I think it makes sense to hire one of them to create our materials.

And since we're all about collaboration and helping each other launch our businesses, I thought that we could all pitch in a few bucks to compensate the designer for… Continue
