This Just In: Lady Rogue is Awkward on CNN!

Hey guys. Sheesh, the things they don't tell you before you go on live national television!

So, I was super nervous about doing a segment on CNN for their Eatocracy segment. So much so that I didn't want to jinx it by mentioning it ahead of time.

But … today, Jimmy Carter did not die, so they put me on TV for a few seconds to talk about local foods.

How to Form a Single Member LLC in Georgia

Hi Everyone,

In the spirit of collaboration that Lionel Flax mentioned at the meeting last week, I wanted to offer some basic legal help to the new business owners out there. So, I wrote an article this morning about how to form a basic LLC entity that will protect your personal assets and provide some nice tax benefits.

The article can be found here -… Continue

Can your boss read your personal text messages? The Supreme Court will decide.

A lot of LRBN members are busy working full-time while trying to launch a new business or get a fledgling business off the ground. It's understandable to want to use the corporate e-mail account, mobile phone, Blackberry or iPhone to send messages regarding your personal business. It's worth a read for all busy… Continue

LRBN Survey

Hey guys ...

We are heading into our one-year anniversary of the Lady Rogue Business Network, and we are proud to say that we're 230 members strong.

I think we're on to something with authentic, non-sucky networking. I think our members have a lot to offer each other. We'd like to develop a more robust model for LRBN that would create revenue for the people who contribute to it.

We have a lot of ideas brewing over at rogueApron HQ, and… Continue

Let's give this hands-off option a try.

This Blog is Your Blog ... This Blog is Our Blog

Hey guys ... I noticed our last two blog posts were rather promotional in nature. We are all here to promote our ventures and share expertise, but I'd rather we kept these blog posts in the nature of educational/requests for help/great things we read/etc.

I think we could all benefit from hearing stories of how a business got started ... like Lauren's story about her bulldog. If the post had been more… Continue

Great artist for original handmade cards - Natalie Crowley

I needed personalized cards for Thank You notes in the night club industry. I contacted Natalie and told her what I had in mind. She created a packet of cards for me at a great price. She's really awesome to work with and very fast at producing them. Keep her in mind if you ever need personalized cards made for your business or personal needs.

The final design is below and links to her profile on LRBN.

Cheers!

So ... why Lady Rogue ... and why the Lady Rogue Business Network?

Well, as most of you know, I created the pseudonym of 'Lady Rogue' in order to preserve a modicum of privacy with the rogueApron project. But as time passed, I started to realize that I didn't personally need to "be" Lady Rogue ... Lady Rogue could be any of us who are working hard to create our dream futures.

I've gotten a chance to meet so many other amazing Atlanta ladies who are starting their own businesses and should really meet each other. Hence - the Lady Rogue Business… Continue
