Since business-y stuff has been coming up a lot lately, wanted to recommend the workshops/resources of WEDA. Several years ago I wanted to open up a sandwich shop and took an amazing 14-week class there to help me decide if I was ready and how to do it. I learned so much! It helped me understand the realities of business costs, how to make a profit, legal issues and so on. Plus the group of women (and men) in the class were very inspiring and supportive. They are an offshoot of the SBA and an all-around amazing non-profit resource. Check out their programs at http://www.weda-atlanta.org/
